AutoCAD Programming
Front Page
One feature that has made AutoCAD a popular tool for architects and engineers is the fact that is can be customized. After 20 plus years of dominating the CAD industry AutoCAD still stands out because of a long list of extended tools for specific applications. Some are pretty simple, some are very complex, and they all have one thing in common - they are custom built to meet the need.
This series of web pages focuses on AutoCAD customization using the Visual LISP programming language. Originally known as AutoLISP, Visual LISP has evolved over the years into a very powerful tool. As a language LISP can be a bit intimidating at first. Especially for experienced programmers. Oddly LISP favors the novice in this regard. These pages were written with all levels of readers in mind.
